Shipping information:

bullet

We double bag fish to be shipped to prevent leakage during transit.

bullet

All Bettas are bagged one to a bag, and shipped in a sturdy, styrofoam shipping container.

bullet

Depending on the length of travel, "bag buddies" may be used to reduce ammonia and add electrolytes to water, so the water may appear a blue tint upon arrival. :)

bullet

We ship traditionally by USPS, occasionally by Fedex, and ask that you be available on the day of arrival to receive the fish and unbox as soon as possible, for the health and safety of our finned friends. We will arrange shipment with you to make sure you can be there.

bullet

We usually ship on Mondays or Tuesdays to prevent weekend layovers.

bullet

Minimum purchase amount $50 US.

bullet

We charge a flat shipping rate of $35 US for up to 6 fish, $2.50 US for each additional fish. This includes the box, shipping fees and heat pack if necessary. You keep the box! :)

bullet

Additionally, with your order, you will receive a starter microworm culture, lineage report on the fish purchased and freebies when available.:)

bullet

PAYPAL IS OUR PREFERRED METHOD OF PAYMENT, to make other payment arrangements, please email me to discuss hans3114@bellsouth.net.

Acclimating your new bettas (s):

bullet

Our ph is around 7, so during acclimating, please keep this in mind.

bullet

Open the box in a dimly lit room, since the bettas have been in the dark for quite some time during travel, the shock and stress levels will be minimal if opened in a dimly lit room. :)

bullet

Check the status of your new arrivals, and report any DOA's to me within 24 hours. Replacement fish will be provided if a photo of expired fish in the unopened bag is provided with 72 hours. (Replacements will be dependent on availability, please be aware I may not be able to provide an exact replacement concerning color, finnage.)

bullet

Remove the outside bag, as these bags are ink labeled with identification and may contaminate water.

bullet

Float the bag about 30 minutes in your previously prepared water (we use and recommend tap water treated with Prime)  to adjust the inside water to the temperature of your water.

bullet

Slowly introduce small amounts of your water into the bag. Do this 3 or 4 times before releasing the fish into it's new environment.

bullet

Please note, it is VERY normal for the bettas to lack color upon arrival and will brighten up once situated in their new environment.:)

Our Bettas Diet

Our Bettas are fed a base diet of Hikari Pellets, frozen bloodworms, frozen brine shrimp, daphnia, and often, California blackworms. With occasional brine shrimp and other treats. We try to feed a varied diet. Your fish may refuse to eat for a few days following transit, but rest assured when settled, they will eat....:)

Please notify me of any concerns or issues within 24 hours of arrival. I want to be sure you and your new fins are settled and happy! Also, be sure and send me a quick  email upon receipt of the shipment to let me know they have arrived safely........

Please note we only ship within the United States at this time.
